Crossing By Faith | Gen 48

Genesis 48 shows Jacob, near death, acting by faith—not by sight. He adopts Ephraim and Manasseh, binds them to God’s covenant promises, and intentionally crosses his hands, blessing the younger over the older to show that God’s blessing comes by grace, not human order. Anchored in God’s promise of the land, Jacob blesses the next generation as if the future is already secure, teaching that faith crosses forward into what God has promised, even when it cannot yet be seen.
